We know all about dentistry and aesthetics

Prophylaxis is the name of the preventive treatments we do. For example, treatment with dental hygienist or EmunDo. For optimum oral health, you should check and clean regularly and we recommend visiting a dental hygienist 1–4 times a year.

We have many patients who absolutely do not want to use fluorine and we then recommend more frequent check ups to diagnos caries at early stages. We also ask the patient to notify the dental hygienist in advance so that we will use the fluorine-free alternative during treatment.

  • EmunDo PTT is a technique that effectively cleans and disinfects periodontal pockets and any inflamed implants using diode lasers. PTT is the safest treatment for peri-implantitis and is classified as alternative treatment to antibiotic treatments. It thus reduces bacteria painlessly and gently.

Grinding teeth

  • If you rub teeth, it often has to do with overactivity in the jaw muscle, which we can treat you for with muscle relaxant and reduce muscle activity, then the grinding stops which is incredibly important to the teeth.

Professional scaling

  • Schedule a good investment in your oral health at the dental hygienist!
  • The treatment includes careful tartar removal and a proper assessment of gums and oral health. Our dental hygienist uses ultrasound for removal of tartar and AirFlow which with the help of a blister removes discoloration. Last but not least, the treatment ends with a polish which gives a fresh and pleasant feeling.

Fluorose and fluoride

  • If you have a high risk of having caries or if you have many new caries injuries, intensive treatment with fluoride may be necessary. Such fluoride treatment can even heal small caries damages to the enamel.
  • Advantageously, fluoride varnish or fluoride gel can be used. The fluoride varnish, which often contains a high concentration of fluorine, is brushed on the teeth. The varnish may solidify and then remain for hours. Much fluorine can thus be stored in the tooth enamel. If you have a high risk of caries, it may be appropriate to repeat the treatment two to four times a year.
  • Fluorine gel is a liquid fluid containing fluorine. The gel is placed in an individually-adapted mouthpiece that looks like a tooth protecting mouth guard. The mouthpiece is placed over the teeth and allowed to sit for five minutes so that the fluorine gel can affect the tooth surface. The treatment is repeated daily, sometimes for several months. This treatments have good effect on stoping caries activity.
